1. Apple Cinnamon Steel-cut Oats

Ingredients

  1. 1 cup Oateo steel cut oats
  2. 3 cups water
  3. 1 medium apple grated
  4. 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  5. ½ cup milk or almond milk
  6. 1 tbsp chia seeds
  7. 1 tbsp mixed seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, sesame)
  8. 1 tsp maple syrup or honey

Instructions

  1. Soak the steel cut oats in water overnight for around 8 hours.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the steel cut oats, water, cinnamon powder and grated apple.
  3. Cook on a medium flame for 20 min and stir occasionally.
  4. Add water in the saucepan and keep stirring to ensure it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the pan and is cooked.
  5. Once cooked, add chia seeds and milk to the saucepan. Wait for a few minutes until the chia seeds start to soak up the additional liquid and mix well.
  6. Once cooked add the toppings of your choice (mixed seeds, nut butter, slices of fresh apple) and serve.

2. Bananas & Pomegranates Steel Cut Oats

Ingredients

  1. 1 cups water
  2. ⅓ cup Oateo steel cut oats
  3. pinch of salt
  4. ¼ tsp cinnamon
  5. ¼ tsp vanilla
  6. 1 tbs superfood seeds such as hemp seeds, chia seeds, or flax seeds
  7. ⅓ cup of almond milk
  8. 1 sliced banana
  9. ¼ cup chopped walnuts
  10. ¼ cup of pomegranate arils
  11. 1 tbsp of honey

Instructions

  1. Combine steel-cut oats, water, salt, cinnamon, vanilla, and the seeds in a small pot.
  2. Bring the water and oats to a boil for 1 minute.
  3. Remove from the heat, allow it to cool for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Cover with a lid and keep it in the fridge overnight.
  5. In the morning give the oats a stir, add the almond milk, and reheat.
  6. Top with sliced bananas, pomegranate seeds, honey and chopped walnuts.
